If this is a normal street, with odd numbers on one side and even numbers on the other, it's quite common that the numbers don't "line up" exactly. If house 6 is on a very big block of land, it's quite likely that the next houses will be 7 and 9 on the odd side of the street, before you get to 8 on the even side.

Assuming "in sequence" permits numbers going back and forth across the street to compensate for the odd/even scenario, then how about House 1 is 79, and house 2 is 80, so there is your 798 sequence.

no it is not number 798, neither is it 2 houses numbered 79 and 80.

There are 3 houses next to each other on my street numbered 7 and 9 and 8 in that order

<p>

The street ends in a culdesac where the houses on one side are numbered 7, 9 with 9 being at the farthest point and as you continue around, the other side of the streets numbers pick up with 8.&nbsp; Of course, that would be followed by 6, 4, 2.

To the newbies, you really need to use the "Spoiler" to put your answers in so that those who want the chance to figure it out on their own can still do that. It is easy and it is just being considerate of others. Just click on the capital S in the blue box...it is pretty self explanatory! If you can not figure it out, email me, I will take you step by step through the process. Thank you!
