Barber Shop Riddle

Question

Cut and culled from mother’s pate

Gathering like fans

Bound to branch in toilsome fate

Amassing what we can.

High or low is where we go,

Engines never needed,

Just a sleight of hand will do,

Rules of décor heeded.

Sorry, nothing yet.

Bear in mind, my titles have nothing to do with my riddles.

A bonfire...or a (literal) bunch of sticks to be given to the flame.

LOL! Nice try Plasmid but Fabpig nailed it.

Broom

wild grass cut from mother nature's pate and gathered into a bunch, fanned and tied to a wooden stick (pole, branch). Gathers dust (amassing) and high or low can refer to corners or the witch's ride, sleight of hand hinting at magic (witch) and also use of hands for toilsome work.
