0 Guest
Boy I'm glad that analogy wasn't on the SAT or GRE! I mean, green being a color of an organelle contained in plant cells/cyanobacteria, an organelle which actually induces chemical changes. That is totally like, um, light being scattered by mechanical means CAUSING a color.
0 Guest
I don't think this is quite right. Lets put the two comparisons side-by-side. Green is the color of chlorophyll and it is the chlorophyll that allows for photosynthesis. Blue is the color of the Rayleigh Scattering in the sky, and this allows for... what? Green--> chlorophyll--> photosynthesis Blue--> Rayleigh Scattering--> ? So we still don't have the answer. We could make the answer vague and say it was 'life' since none of us would be here without the atmosphere. We'd have to do a modification though... Blue--> Sky--> etc.
