You throw away the outside and cook the inside. Then you eat the

outside and throw away the inside. What did you eat?

I think sheep/ cow meat. You remove the skin and cook the meat. Then you eat the meat and throw the bone. :)

An ear of corn on the cob, hopefully with butter and salt, and fresh out of the garden

I disagree with meat on the bone, because most of us clean out the animals innards before cooking, which was not part of the problem.

Birds would be: throw away outside (feathers) and clean out the inside. Fill the inside (stuffing) and cook the outside. Eat the outside, and clean out the inside. Throw away the outside and eat the inside.
