Question

Person A is 5 years old. Person B is 10 years older. In how many years is Person B twice Person A's age?

5 years.

Jack runs toward Jill at 10 mph. Jill runs at Jack at 6 mph. In 15 minutes they pass. How far away are they?

I believe they are 4 miles apart.

These are some easy math problems.

I think flamebirde is right on the first... in 5 years Person A is 10 and Person B is 20... For the second, Jack would travel 2.5 miles and Jill would travel 1.5 for a total of 4 miles that they WERE apart, but the question asks how far apart ARE they and I'd say 0 miles.... a few inches maybe, but it would be hard to tell from the info we have...
