Though light may have the intrinsic property of self-propagation, neither air nor the atom do [one would have to go the elementary building blocks of these to find that property]. As color is by definition a frequency of light, one can say it does have color, but you can also see light. If one can argue that light has size and shape, then gravity may fit the answer. The graviton's forces, as the electromagnetic forces of the photon, can "fill" an area (volume). As it can bend light and matter, it can change the shape, size and, effectively, the color seen.
