Question

You work for the city and are laying out the grid for all the utility companies. All three homes in this town will need a supply of power, water and a sewage line for the removal of waste...

Now, power and water don't mix so the power line must not cross the other two, and sewage and drinking water don't mix, so those cannot cross either.

Can you supply all three utilities to all three houses without crossing ANY of the lines?

For this one you have to think "inside" the box. No rule states the lines cannot go THROUGH the houses.
