The pens would have to have different masses. Just becuase they look the same, doesn't mean they are the same... They could have different amounts of ink in the cartridge or made with different materials...

Actualy, while the strength of the gravitational pull may be different, the rate of acceleration in a vacuum is the same. I believe they did an experiment to prove this with a hammer and a feather on the moon.

Mass has no bearing on the influence of gravity. Famous experiment (on the moon) where a hammer and a feather were dropped from the same height at the same instant and both hit the surface at the same time.
