Riddle of the Dead

Question

Treasure waits beyond the reach

gold within a hold,

remnants of the dead are stitched

to keep the living whole.

Broken bones among the weeds

scattered ‘round and round,

where untouched gems wait silently

o’er blades upon the ground.

No to all.

onion, it's a simple rhyme riddle (enigma). There are enough clues such that one answer will tie them all together. It's a non-living thing and very common.

I like hay bail best but along those lines maybe also a barn or hay loft. and somewhat seperately, a seed spreader?

LOL!! NO!!! Everyone has danced all around the answer, some close, some out there, and a few almost on target but shy of the eye.

Key words:

round

dead (itself)

gold in hold

beyond reach

above blades

Really now!! not that hard (and I better get some ratings on this one!)
