As the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation ("NATO") is not a word I wouldn't have thought it would pass muster, and "beat" changes a letter and removes one.

How about neath ?

My understanding is that this version of beneath does not require a leading hyphen, but I'm happy to be corrected.

According to my research it is listed and is maybe still used in poetry since "1600"

If peace is ok with it then I will use the word heath.
