WOW!!!!!!!!!!!! I can picture all of you being in the same room, shouting all at the same time, bragging who's got the "right" answer but noone is listening.

6 pages already filled with the same answer and people still keep answering the same thing over and over.

Amazing how human minds work.

1.First you would take the she goat across the river (wolf won't eat cabbage)

2. Go back and then bring the wolf across the river, take the goat back across with you (so the wolf won't eat the she goat)

3. leave the she goat, take the cabbage then return for the goat.

Let us take the bank frm where the she-goat, wolf and cabbage have to be taken across the river as 1st bank and the desired bank to be reached as 2nd bank..............carry the she-goat frm the 1st bank to the 2nd bank drop her there and *** back to 1st bank.........then carry the cabbage to the 2nd bank put it there and bring back the goat to the 1st bank........thereafter, bring the wolf to the 2nd bank........now go back to the 1st bank and bring the goat to the 2nd bank.......and hence all the three are at the 2nd safe and secure....

First you take the goat across the lake and leave her there. Then you go back and get the wolf and take him across the lake. Do not leave the goat there with the wolf because of course he will eat her. So you bring her back across the lake. This time you leave her and take the cabbage across the lake. So if you are following you will have the wolf and the cabbage on one side and the goat at the beggining. So then you go back for the goat. And bring her across. And now you have all three across and no one is going to get eaten. But it makes you wonder why are you buying a wolf.

the farmer can throw the cabbage to the other side and then take the wolf, then go back for the goat. Or i think cabbage floats in water so he could always float it across the river. But i get the actual answer too, but wow, inefficient!

The farmer takes the she-goat across the river. He returns and takes the wolf across the river. He takes the she-goat back with him leaving her on the first side of the river. He takes the cabbage and goes to the other side of the river leaving it with the wolf. He returns to the first side of the river and retrieves the she-goat. He returns to the other side of the river and goes home.

This is very simple if I am not mistaken. The farmer should go as follow: Cabbage, Wolf and She-Goat. The cabbage is safe because the wolf is a carnivore. The She-Goat is safe from the wolf because the farmer brought her across last.

The farmer takes the goat across, then goes back alone. Picks up wolf, crosses, drops off wolf, brings goat back with him, then drops off goat, picks up cabbage, crosses, drops off cabbage. Crosses alone. Picks up goat and crosses. Everyone is across.

Take the goat first as the wolf and cabbage can be left alone

then go back and get the wolf

take the wolf over next and return with the goat

now leave the goat on the first land and get the cabbage

take to cabbage over to the wolf

then go back and get the goat.

This is a simple puzzle -

Take She-goat and drop off on other side

Take Wolf, drop off on other side, and take She-goat back

Drop off She-goat and take cabbage over to wolf

Go back and pick up she-goat.

The Japanese job interview river crossing puzzle was harder. Should try that one if you think this is too easy.

So the farmer will make the first trip taking the she-goat with him and cross the river and leave the she-goat there and he comes back alone.

The second trip he takes the wolf and leave him at the other end and gets the she-goat back with him.

The third trip he leaves the she-goat at the original point and takes the cabbage and leaves it at the other end with the wolf, and he returns alone.

The final trip he will make is to get the she-goat with him to cross the river.

So finally everyone is safe and sound on the other end of the river.

Or, let's say the man is not an idiot, and does not buy three items that could potentially eat each other. Especially if he has no way of getting them all home at once. So instead, he buys himself a nice beer and the goat. The goat's for company, since he's obviously not married. No women would let a man fall under such idiocy.

With all literalisms and reality aside, I like the puzzle. Good thinker. ;)

Okay look, this is common sense!

1. take the she-goat onto the boat and take it to the other side.

2.go back and take the cabbage onto the boat and go to the other side.

3. take the she-goat back onto the boat and take it back to where you started.

4.drop the goat and take the wolf onto the boat and to the cabbage.

5.finally, go back to the goat and take it to the other side.

THERE YOU HAVE IT PEOPLE!! B)):D:lol:;):P
