0 plainglazed
a thumb! Edit..add the obvious... hey fabpig, not that, sorry. a yawn a breath hello quantum_hole and welcome to the Den - good thoughts both but not the answer am looking for. palm or punch? Can't make either fit very well, but I keep coming back to them. sad state when it comes down to a process of elimination. you can strike those. Eggs in a frying pan. Or just each of them individually. hey Molly Mae - just reread with your answer in mind. very cool answer and nice fit. but not what i intended. @all - am afraid this one has become difficult not because the subject is well disguised but because what part of the riddle the subject actually is is poorly defined. from the start, several have hit upon the "it(s)" that are referred to but am wanting the "me/I". sorry for the ambiguity. 0 Molly Mae
The adrenal gland? Or perhaps the heart? I had also thought of faucet, carton, and barrel (dark humour, I guess). The connection seems better with the heart or the gland, though. Edited November 4, 2010 by Molly Mae

0 Molly Mae
MM...reread #84 Hmm... If you're talking about PG's advice regarding differentiating between "I" and "it" I've heeded it.
0 plainglazed
New direction altogether....A bouncer, or a bartender... Santa Claus? none of those C_V - this one is an inanimate tangible object So does this mean we get the answer? no, not yet, sorry for the confusion. what I meant was the meanings of the it(s) in the riddle have been noticed and even guessed previously. like the first one being morning from the play on words "it first dawns on you". but morning is not the answer to the riddle. I eliminated the 'twill in the rewrite because that it would refer to the answer. The answer is the I or me. A baby sucking its thumb at its christening nope but get where you're coming from. The adrenal gland? Or perhaps the heart? I had also thought of faucet, carton, and barrel (dark humour, I guess). The connection seems better with the heart or the gland, though. urr, sorry, no. the last one definitely brought chuckles but then what a mess *picturing gray beans everywhere*. 0 plainglazed
very rarely. would not say I'm a golfer. and no connection to the riddle. can see some potential references ie take the heat, get a grip, maybe an early morning outing. beans? gotta run, okay, play some cards. be back later tonight.
