How many dimensions would we have to exist in order for it to be possible:

to travel through time?

for teleportation to be possible?

hmm.....i'm not an informed physicist person, but i'd say a minimum of 3; past, present, future.......

but there can be hundreds and thousands of dimensions......

To travel through time 4 dimensions are probably needed, the fourth being the dimension of time. Teleportation possibly needs 5 dimension the 5th dimension being the dimnesion of space.

I read in a magazine once that we can feel the gravity from distant galaxies because it travels through a 5th dimension (or something like that), the 4th dimension being time as Black Butterfly said. So "there are more stars in your fingerprints than you can see on the sky". That's what it said on the magazine. I don't really get it, but I think it's relevant to this topic somehow.

to travel through time? 1, time (it would have to be a proper bidirectional dimension however)

for teleportation to be possible? teleportation would not be possible through adding extra dimensions (as you would still need somehow travel the points in between). The illusion of teleportation could be supported if I had access to one extra dimension than you.

Still need to travel through the wormhole. Good illusion of teleportation provided I have access to it and you don't.

Note the universe in this diagram without the worm hole is two dimensional and you are creating another dimension by bending it.
