Treasure the Moment

Question

Posted · Report post

A little bit different than the ones from before

Still solve these eight, then for grins, one more

Gives credit where credit is due you've got

So when they're in yours, take your best shot

One or the other, determined will tell

Clears out with a stick for this it can spell

Afterwards ridden with an admission of me

Shines bright on its face so superficially

From the lands on high as a manner of speaking

Passing strong wind, an outburst of shrieking

A rock of ages you stand out in a crowd

All the more sure when you shout it out loud

Authorize to print maybe gets the point across

This passage one gains then forthwith a loss

Push and shove, tuck and roll, a good turn bears repeating

Always obliged am I, this demand is want for completing

Known often with the blues, one printed one dyed

An instruction of sorts, worn on the outside

From a long lost friend I've pirated the lot

So now for top marks, this you must spot

FWIW/shameless plug - here are some links to similar ones from before:

Wait...Uncle PG? Is that you? =P

After a quick check, I've confirmed that most (if not all) pairs have one word that are either shared band names or released album titles. Perhaps that's just coincidence, though.

hey M M - just coincidence, I guess - so guess I'm still hanging in there :P

thanks for the info dD - will have to look into

not it t_mo - there is some hidden treasure there, I assure you...

yikes, the pressure's on (me). dont know if this one will supply your moment. like other similar ones, this last final answer is more of a puzzle than riddle. tho the clues are kind of a riddle

Stonehenge? Though I don't know how all clues would fit.

nope, not that Dej Mar.

riddles MrsP didn't get around to writing (yet), but a little searching told me she did a boulder/bolder riddle way back when.

So ... back to work. -_-

Did a little searching also tell you that they could have been riddles MrsP did write?

Sorry you two, nothing at all to do with the famous riddles of MrsP.

Am thinking of a little more direction in hint form -

What are the odds?

Aside... wondering what MrsP does with the time she used to spend in here.

our hour - (we claim what we treasure)

buy by - (we often purchase what we treasure, and the moment could have been the past)

mourning morning - (we mourn those we treasured, the moment in question may have been the AM)

dont think you come across it that way, Wilson. And your answer looks vaguely familiar, hmmm. as to your aside... often wonder myself

Europe?

not what I'm looking for.

our hour - (we claim what we treasure)

buy by - (we often purchase what we treasure, and the moment could have been the past)

mourning morning - (we mourn those we treasured, the moment in question may have been the AM)

oops, my bad. when I responded to t-mo's response about an aha moment, had forgotten all about the title. in fact, changed the title last minute. wont say why just now as dont want to disappoint with too many clues. anyway, the moment bit of the title is not important, sorry. think you were onto something with your very first inclination if I recall.

Squall, or squalling?

(couldn't come up with any homonyms, sorry)

From the lands on high as a manner of speaking

Passing strong wind, an outburst of shrieking

sounds like Wilson has discovered my hidden treasure but wants to keep the hunt afoot. will oblige for now if it doesn't get too drawn out.
