Que Sera, Sera

Question

Forget about being happy

Passed the time as usual.

Sure could use a stiff drink

What's not overly sensual?

Maybe I'm just insipid

Never finding common ground.

Another flower on its way

Can't seem to hang around.

Though yes it may seem glaring

But know that it's not right.

For this certain scourge

Shan't ever come to light.

So glorify and sanctify

Still thank him nonetheless.

Never pull up from the race

When you did it just confess.

And if all's consumed by darkness

Don't dwell on deficiency.

Because in the end you'll find

It's all just meant to be.

Some of these are definitely quite obscure and figuring them individually probably would be hopeless. Counted on the title, the last line and making sense of a couple of the other lines leading to the answer. Et voila, Wilson to the rescue. Well done, sir. Don't think there's a chance to pull off a C Riddle.

Seems I can't even put one over on you when you've tied one over. Well deduced my friend.

Hey MissKitten - As the old saying goes, "there's no such thing as a dumb question." Moreover, just being here to have fun and give the ole noggin' a workout precludes one from being stupid, imo.

some here have seen this type before and have an advantage. this riddle is less of a "What am I" and more of a "Play on Words". That is to say using the words in ways other than their expected meaning. Generally speaking, PoWs might include things like double meanings and/or literal interpretations, homophones and/or phonetic interpretations, anagrams, hidden words, plays on the letter structure of the words themselves usually indicated by some kind of descriptor (like "even" might indicate the even letters), etc. In this case, I was describing two words in each sentence, one starting with the letter B and the other the same as the B word minus the B. There should also have been some indication that the word without the B is omitted. In the first line for example: "being happy" in this case was meant to be "elated" and "past the (usual) time" as "belated" and "forget about" indicates to not use the "elated" bit leaving "B". Would be glad to go into this further if you wish - pm me. And thanks for your consideration of my riddles. Cheers
