Question

The Earth as it spins on an axis is fact,

what style I have depends on just that.

Straight to the North I will want to face,

though not at the pole or a lie I will make.

360 degrees my companion moves in one day,

15 of those per hour. I read some on the way.

Quite scientific and really simple combined,

usually flat on ground is me you will find.

Latitude and horizontal I will need those too,

if for the correct answer I will give to you.

Framm was quick on this one. The part of the sundial that casts a shadow is called a "Style" needs to point "True North" It's companion is The Sun. Reads the time for only Daylight Hours of course. Really good job Framm.

Thanks, it was a good riddle . I probably wouldn't have gotten it if it wasn't for you saying that archlordbr was on the right track and it was the only thing that I could think of that fit with the clues that wasn't compass.
