Hence to satisfy both the TOILS and PLIED: it's either: * O and L at same time plus D (because it's o OR middle i) or * I for TOILS, I from PLIED, and either the L or D from PLIED. The first bullet point is impossible becuase O & L can't occupy the same letter. SO it's teh second bullet point. Since white and smite have ite in common, that means the sm in smite are wrong. Whale ends in e, so that leaves the i or the t. Trots scored (0), meaning the correct letter is the i.
