L and E eliminated from BLARE - 1 (R is known) U eliminated from CHURN - 1 (R is known). And the R is known... so the second letter correct can only be A as first letter. If SEARS-2, E is the second letter. S_AR_ is eliminated from START, and the last S is eliminated from HURTS. EDIT: And I'll leave them both up, but I realised I could have saved a word by just using SEARS...
