Of course pronunciations vary from region to region within the United States, let alone the world, as well as region to region within different states. From my southern Midwestern accent of Oklahoma, the following are all pronounced with little or no distinction:

they're, their, there

for, four, fore (usually yelled)

sail, sell, sale

by, bye, buy

been, Ben, bin

Penn (University), pin, pen

Mountain Dew, Dr. Pepper, Pepsi (They are all pronounced "koke")

tell, tail, tale

I believe you are trying to find HOMONYMS, words that are pronounced the same, but have different meanings and spellings.
