Question

These are accurate (with a little wiggle room) to the Midwestern USA English accent I grew up with. Hopefully they will mainly cross the gamut of spoken English, but I apologize if they don't.

(But if they don't, you can laugh at the 'crazy American-speak'.) ;)

2. R&D gadget extraordinaire with 2nd sound

3. Confined single left

4. Take a shot at the scheme

5. Two queens bar none Chicago train base matriarch

6. Alas meadow rodent

7. Gentleman thin the herd

8. Window part below

9. The guy eats ice cream cone

wow, i had the word parts for #8, just couldn't recognize the sound of them together-- until I saw it spelled by Dudley Dude!

There really is a trapagon, by the way, but it is spelled trapegon, which makes it not a fit --- these were a lot of fun, TL, please make more!

pentagon

You missed on #4, but the rest were right!

:excl: Still just #2 to go ... There are alternate wordings possible, which if no one gets it by tomorrow I'll put up.

As worded is just what I thought of first, and since it made me laugh I decided to keep it. ^_^ Someone can probably go after it if you find what's missing among the answers.

Edit @ chicory - NP! I apparently make up stuff all the time & swear it's real or remember doing something. -_-
