It is cast and left to chance if a fish takes the bait. The eyes are the eyes that the line threads through on the rod. The line meets the end at the hook beneath the water. When cast, the rod is "snapped" and the line sent flying. It is thin but durable and rarely broken in use. The base machine is in fact the "basic" reel at the base of the pole, which when used pulls the line in, making waves while doing so. The one who takes the presnt (bait) loses its life.
