Question

Friendless face for knuckles white

Wind swept sorrow on the flight

Ambassador of nearing night,

Divine the heartless hearth.

Seven years removed of love

Locked away from those above

Sole confederate, inveterate grub

Tally now thy worth.

Girded by the steely tail

Listen to the missive wail

Duty now must never fail

Thy task upon the Earth.

Who?

Here's a re-write for more clarity and clue. I like this version a bit better anyway:

Friendless face for knuckles white

His hearse preceding on the flight

Emissary of the night,

Upon the heartless hearth.

Seven years removed of life

Locked away as those in strife

Architect of this his plight

Tally now thy worth.

Girded by a steely tail

Beware this missive else it wail

Duty now must never fail

His task upon the Earth.

Scrooge experiences several visual warnings of Marley’s impending visitation after work around dusk. The first is when he sees Marley’s face in place of the door knocker on the entrance to the building where his apartment is located. Another is when he imagines a “locomotive hearse” ascending the flight of stairs in front of him, and the third is when Marley’s entire countenance can be seen engulfing his tiled fireplace. When Marley appears as an ambassador to warn of the three visitations to come, he is seen by his “sole confederate” in business and relations as wrapped in chains trailing cash boxes behind him like a steel tail. He relates to Scrooge his sad plight after seven years since his death of wandering the Earth as a spirit swept on the wind to atone for his sins.

Outstanding John. That makes two.
