A man is walking across a hallway.(Let's say, 5 feet long) If the man is walking at 1 foot each step, and only takes 4 steps, how can he get to the end of the hall successfully?

2: he jumps

3. mabey by one foot each step you mean he uses one of his feet to step each time and his steps can be any length

4. or (someone could explain this better) taking four steps gets him five feet

Getting across the hallway means

he begins with his heel against one wall and

ends with his toe against the opposite wall.

Since his feet are one foot long,

he does this in four steps.
