Question

Look down upon me

I can't be trusted

A man unworthy of his word

Look at your books, they should be dusted

I brought him down, immune to sword!

Are you a dog, sir?

Then why so ashen?

Stand upright, I'll help thee

We'll talk about fashion

a Ghost?

Probably going the wrong way.

this is not the answer, when you have the answer you will know it's correct, if it feels wrong - it is

but an interesting guess, hope you keep at it

Really, You don't want to go there. Not enough time.

i suppose we europeans have a very romantic view of your president. not ready to see any flaws yet.

maybe we'll clash riddles over him at another point. hint for this one, no political figures

Dead Author.

Technically not a guess just searching.

:offtopic: I'll say this, He promised change, They'll get what they want, just don't think they'll want what they get.

technically then,

you are not wrong, just on the wrong path

:D good that you think dusted is important, as in writer being old or dead, or the book being old... just figure out why i'm talking about this by looking at the line under. you can actually solve the riddle by looking at any couplet, together they are all clues, dog included.

Wordsworth.

Or Does it have anything to do with "The pen is mightier than the sword"?

nice, but no, and it doesn't have anything to do with that particular saying, take the lines at face value as much as possible.

Welcome back, dancer. Looks like you've seen that you've become famous: multiple-part riddles have become known as dancer riddles, although this particular one doesn't seem to be of that variety.

This guess feels like it might be on track enough for a rhyme.

Glance down and see a fair display

The magazine, it bids: obey

And promises refinement

Products show you have acumen

Lack it? You're just barely human

Beware this advertisement

how nice to see you again plasmid! and how great to learn that my riddles are liked, i am deeply flattered. your rhyming answers are surely also famous by now? love this one, but the solution it offers is wrong.

stay and play, glad you're around.

I know it isn't right

homonculus?

There, I said it... now maybe it won't stay stuck in my head and I can come up with a real answer

wow, i had to look that up. glad you got it off your chest though, heavy thinking. much too heavy. my riddles are actually always very simple, very simple answers, very clear once you get it. i'll give it a little more time, then would be happy to start breaking it down with you and give clues. but the mind that came up with the answer you just provided is a mind that can break any of my riddles, promise.
