I hope I didn't upset anyone too much. If it helps I spent more time working on defense in this game then in any other. You all never let me rest...

My librarian looked at me weird when everyone was playing games and I looked up Fascism. She gave me the evil eye.
did i mention im learning about hitler and mussolini? theres acually quite a lot of similarities between the two and how they came to power. read Political ideologies and the democratic ideal by ball & dagger if you need it (page 191)
it acually is quite interesting. it goes against the idea of logic and reason, and while i dont support it at all, it is interesting...

By game thread I mean what is actually written in the thread by hosts and players. Anything outside that and official host PM's is meta. The perfect forum for mafia games wouldn't show any of that info but since we are using BD...

but yeah. i do see what you mean by not showing times. I do think it could be a good rule for a mafia game to have everyone sign out, then back in with private. it would be good. but than again, you cant see the lst time someone was on. wich is the point but i do like that.

guests do come on a lot...with the igoogle gadget, and the facebook page, many people come on - and this is basically the most active topic, so guests are drawn to here.

I have to admit, im not a superstitious person, but friday the 13th always gets me jittery. today was a great day, i found my calculator...which was in plain sight...bombed a quiz though.
but yeah...i just...friday the 13th is WIFOM anyday, but with MAFIA? we should have a series that starts on friday the 13th. that would be awsome.
so yeah...i apoligize for the recent constant use of WIFOM, but i looked it up and now love the term. so yeeah...

Its fine. I think theres an edit button or a reason. I just like to know why. When i edit, even when not im mafia, sometimes i say why i edit anyways. I just add Edit: or ETA: I just like to know why.

Yeah. Im sincerely hoping we dont, which is why my vote is currently on yodell. however, i want to get harry. I don't want to screw up.

This is what's called the placebo effect. We encrypt our mind with a really general message, and we say "this could really apply to me, so it's probably going to happen. You then create that reality. Sometimes you think "But when I look at other horoscopes, they don;t fully apply to me" and that is because you don't let them when they don't regard you. I think that positive superstitions are fantastic! However, all these superstitions causing buildings to not have a 13th floor is just trouble. It's common sense to not walk under a ladder or to shatter a mirror, but not step on a tiny crack? No.
I actually heard there was a killing on the 13th of a Friday in the 1300's. All we rely on is folklore from people barely as advanced as us believing in the logic of killing witches... when there were no witches. Psychology, my friends, psychology.
1) thats cool - its similar to somehting called the halo effect, not extremely similar, but there are some parallels.
