  1. Cut the square into a 'G' shape. Then you should be able to fold the top middle square diagonally, then back against the top left square, and the middle right square the same way against the bottom right.

    This will make an L-shaped net of 4 squares long and 4 squares wide.

    That is right Soop2, G shape works and like the N it enclosed into a cube.

    These are one of the solution: "no cut off, with fold overlap surfaces"
    The other solution don't have any overlapping. You should try it too.

    For the second one...

    exactly the same as the last solution, except instead of folding the top row diagonaly up to lengthen the top of the L, fold it straight across, to make a 2 square across, 3 sq down, 4 sq across squiggle.
