  1. Granted: it's two. You will forever live in pain for having chosen such a stupid, pointless thing to wish for. I wish my wish had unintended results.
  2. (Just because I'm bored, and I'm sure you will come up with great answers...) How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?
  3. Yeah, the paradox does make a lot more sense when you say 'false' instead of 'lying'. A lot of paradoxes are the same way- in the unmovable object/unstoppable force paradox, it only really works if you say something like 'unbreakable, unmovable object' and 'unstoppable, un-divertible force', or else the object could break and not move, or the force could change direction. Word choice really matters...
  4. To answer your * question, God Himself doesn't travel faster than the speed of light, but His influence can, because it has no mass. At least, that's how it probably works.
  5. I'm sure we all know the paradox about 'If I say 'I am lying', am I telling the truth or lying', so I won't write it out. My question is, why isn't the following a legitimate answer? You aren't lying. You're just mistaken. Maybe I'm sounding stupid, but seriously. Just because you state something doesn't mean it's true at all. Paradoxes themselves are evidence of that. And the very spirit of philosophers- i.e., everything anyone has ever said might be wrong accepts that people can just be plain mistaken. I've never heard this logic being followed before, and I'm wondering why. Anyone know?
  6. And to be practical, a lot of things other possibilities suggested would anger the crocodile, and he would eat the child out of spite. Also, I'd like to point out that nowhere in the question did they limit us to two answers (eat him or don't).
  7. The mother should say "You will hold him captive for a certain amount of time while I speak this sentence." If he does, he has to give the kid back. If he doesn't, the kid can run away.
  8. If you could only see the future, it wouldn't help at all. If you saw anything bad, you would desperately try to prevent it, worsening and maybe creating the problem. If the information was given to the whole world, people would try to store up supplies, hoping to make it through the end of the world. They would hurt or kill other people to do so, again, making or maybe creating the problem.
  9. 1. I don't know, but let's hope the arms war never gets to that point. 2. In the pictures, the fountain of youth always looks pretty shallow, and like it was said earlier on this page, you'd have to drink it, not breath it. 3. No. I have better things to do that stupid paradox missions. 4. A grandparent only accounts for 1/4 of someone's genes, or 'existence', so her appearance and organs would change, but she would still exist. 5. Anyone's guess. Weather men are almost always wrong. 6. Potato, Cats, random, enthusiastic. No. (Hey, you never gave me a time frame to answer the question!) 7.The other speed-of-light cars around you will be most grateful for the safety precaution and increased visibility. 8. I don't know how that would work, but if you keep going around like that, God will make a slightly lighter rock and drop it on your head.
