  1. Forgotten District II Mafia City 17, forgotten district, once known as the "The Neighborhood" Six years after the previous events in Trainer's Manual Mafia IV ~~~~~ Checking his balance at the end of the day, the Loan Shark smiled to himself, "This is still a nice neighborhood to do business in." "What's that Boss?", asked Muscle. "Nothing for you to worry about, Muscle, as always. Call Clark for me will ya?" "Sure thing, Boss." said Muscle, opening the door and letting a gust of music slip inside. That music would one day be the death of him, sighed the Loan Shark. His hair was tinted white at his temples and he felt weary during a Saturday Night. "Hey Boss!", Clark "the DJ" blasted through the door. "Close it please", Mick sighed. "Have you heard about the new Mayor?". "Yeah", Clark flexed his hands nervously," he's talking about restoring the Civil Guard and all!". "About that, I need you to do something for me. Go mix during the day, talk to your former colleagues, lemme know if trouble is brewing." "Sure thing, but, wait, you want me to do something about it?". "No, just report back to me.", he stood up and secured his briefcase. "And get the damn music lower one notch, it's making my head explode", he added before going to the safe. "Boss, you know there are paying customers right now draining the bar and putting money in the pockets because of that music ... ", Clark responded as the Boss put the briefcase in the safe and walked back to his table. "Fine, close it earlier though, I need silence to ponder." Clark grabbed the door handle, "I'll let the guys know to close after 2 tonight", as he went out. "Idiot" he mumbled once he was safely out of the room. ~~~~~ Baddies (Mafia): Leader of the shady characters in the city, trying to make an extra buck by circumventing the rule, Mick "The Loan Shark" has made enough money offering unsecured loans to the nice people in the neighborhood. Each night can send Muscles out to kill someone. In case Muscles fails (target is saved or trapped), then the identity of the saved target will be revealed to the Loan Shark. Once during the game (ODTG) can redirect a vote, but not if trapped or blocked the night before. WinCon: Removing all other factions. Goodies (Innocents): Peaceful taxpayers trying to restore their clean neighborhood. WinCon: To get rid of business threatening the neighborhood. * The Doctor: Former Med student, did not finish his studies due to money problems and a recurring addiction. Knows enough to help a player survive minor injuries though. Ability: Can save a player each night. Can save self. Can save the same player in a row (Save) * The Baker: Lost his bakery to the Loan Shark a while back and still sports a scar made by Muscles in a barfight when he refused to pay his loan. He has sworn to get revenge, but after the fiasco a couple of years ago, his vengeance simmered. Ability: No action / Vanilla initially. If the Doctor dies, then Baker will get ODTG kill to avenge him (ODTG Kill) * The Cop: Lived in this neighborhood all his life, became a cop on an impulse, never looked back. Ability: Each night can stake out a player and find out either who targeted that player or who that player acted upon (choice). ODTG can instead choose to contact an old friend with clearance and get a role spy. (Spy). * The Shopowner: Still owns huge debts and his business barely covers the vig. Always looking for a clean way out of the mess he got himself into. Ability: Each night can block a player. (Block). * The Mayor: Just back in his hometown after inheriting his aunt's big mansion. Never forgot about his political ambitions. Ability: Can secretly make a vote x2 each day (Vote manip) Indy * Clark - "The DJ": Local redneck that won the local club at a poker game a couple years ago. Used to run the establishment as a front business for the Loan Shark, but has decided to pursue his own plans. Each night can trap someone with a VIP invite to the game night where they are safe from kills and cannot speak / vote / be voted for the next day. Cannot send VIP invites to same person twice in a row. ODTG can call in a favor with Muscles to RID Kill at any point during the day or the night. If successful, the event is published immediately, if failed no one hears about it. Cannot die N1, but if targeted for a kill, the killer will know his ID. Wincon: Outlive two secret goodies and the Loan Shark. Must be alive at the beginning of the next phase (day or night) and game stops if wincon is met. Rules: * NP shows Kills, Traps and Saves. DP shows lynched player's faction only, no indication on vote manipulation. * Tie: D1 No lynch. D2+ All in the tie are lynched. * OOA: Trap > Block > Save > Kill > Spy > Day actions. Kills are not blocking. * Blocks count as successful if the block went through unstopped by the trap acting on the blocker. Blocks cannot stop the NK. Daily actions can be blocked. Blocked players will be told so. Roster:1. maurice 2. Flamebirde 3. Molly Mae 4. Panther 5. MiKi 6. Hirkala 7. bonanova Backup: 1. Thalia 2. plasmid Let me know if you have questions about the setup. I'll try to randomize the roles and give a two day start for Night 1. Thank you.
  2. It's been a while and even by throwing in the backups it doesn't reach 10. So I'll rewrite it as a 5 vs 1 vs 1 and get back to you soon.
  3. @MissKitten Tagging does not work on mobile and quoting is hard on mobile as well. But other than that, on a PC, one can copy-paste colors and not bother with quoting the roster altogether. Which is cool. At least from a host's PoV.
  4. 6 + 2 backups to throw in = 8. Now if only we had 2 more @Aaryan @Yodell @Anon26 @TheCube @Hidden G @SuperJack @phil1882
  5. Shadow is MIA from Mafia games ... we can get a host but 19 people to signup is a big milestone now.
  6. Not really, no. It is 7 vs 3 which is already working in their favor. The messenger RID is the only thing they have.
  7. Thanks Panther I tried it on mobile and nothing appears as a suggestion. Gonna tag again on a PC now. @Thalia @MikeD @plasmid @Auramyna
  8. Roster:1. maurice 2. Flamebirde 3. Molly Mae 4. 5. 6. Hirkala 7. bonanova 8. 9. 10. halfway there already time for some tagging. @Thalia @MikeD @plasmid @Panther @Auramyna
  9. Just wanted to add it to "the queue" in case anyone is following this thread instead: Forgotten District II Mafia is now in signups after UN Mafia III finished.

(Block) * Clark - "The DJ": Local redneck that won the local club at a poker game a couple years ago. Runs the establishment as a front business for the Loan Shark. Ability: When spied, he appears as a random living Goodie. Goodies (Innocents): Peaceful taxpayers trying to restore their clean neighborhood. He longs for some action and may turn out to be hero after all. If the Cop dies, he gets to play the hero. Ability: No action (Vanilla). If the Cop dies, he gets a Kill. * The Mayor: Just back in his hometown after inheriting her aunt's big mansion. Never forgot about his political ambitions. UN Mafia III

Day 2 : Conundrum ~~~~~ The Hooded Figure had been a little surprised to the turn the discussions had taken that day. All in all it was a good day for talks. But this was not the UN. Talks are not everything in this game, as the Hooded Figure had intended all along. As the day ended, the delegates began to stir again in anticipation. They all had plans for the future and all depended on today's voting outcome. And yes, China was out! Maurice was cast from the table and before he reached for the door ... ~~~~~ An envelope was cast towards Flamebirde. Cautiously, he opened it up and read the words written on it "I Sweden, hereby veto you as Germany!". Mumbling under his breath, he stood up and went after maurice. ~~~~~ The remaining delegates stood baffled with the result wondering if they did anything wrong. "Not really or more accurately the lesser of two evils is yet another evil. But it's in the game, is it not?", he smiled at them. "Please join me in welcoming the leader of the new UN council, Thalia! Peace be with you!" ~~~~~ Host: araver 1. Thalia 2. bonanova 3. Molly Mae 4. Flamebirde - RID Killed D2 by Sweden 5. maurice - Lynched D2 as China 6. MikeD - Lynched D1 as United Kingdom 7. plasmid - Invaded N1 by China ~~~~~ Game ended with Indy win! ~~~~~ Roles: Actions: Secret targets: Final remarks ~~~~~ First of all, thank you all for signing up. I must admit I had my worries when I put the signup topic, but you were great! And secondly, thank you for the level of activity you've shown. I hoped you got to enjoy the game, even if it only lasted a couple of phases. ~~~~~ I thought goodies had the front place for a while, with Molly/Russia getting good looks at maurice and bonanova, and with a lucky save N2 from bonanova. Maurice/China was both blocked and trapped N1 and choosing plasmid as US (who could have hurt the goodies N2 or deal with the Indy N3) proved to be less advantageous in the end-game. However D1 almost-abstain and the mass-outing in D2 meant there was little chance that Sweden couldn't RID Kill the last target. Both the baddie vote manip and goodie remove/add votes were not actually used. I liked how Flame talked about his vote D2 when it was actually x0 (which could have messed with baddie's ODTG remove vote) and how Molly Mae soft claimed two roles early D1 without being obvious about it. ~~~~~ For the clarity of the win and the effort that went along with it Thalia deserves the MVP Award for this game! Congratulations. ~~~~~ And if any of you are partial to the idea, I'll post some more signups next week.

    UN Mafia III

    1. Some ODTG can, some ODTG cannot. And it depends if the player quarantined is the target of the ODTG or one doing the ODTG. I can't answer such a general question otherwise. 2. OP says D2+ all players in tie are lynched. Not everyone voted for. 3. No, if a person is RID Killed it is the same as in a Night Post, role is not revealed. 4. Normally I would say "no comment" since the question implies knowing stuff only Australia knows. I will however try to be helpful and interpret it in the light of the NP showing Australia act as public knowledge, and answer "Australia can't use 2 powers the same night/day cycle".

    UN Mafia III

Night 2 : Animated Barriers ~~~~~ The australian agent pushed the book back on the shelf and smiled to himself. Three hours of study and now he knew how to operate those little robots. No longer afraid of IoT wonders, he programmed this one to erect a forcefield around at a given time. Then set it around in the hall where it crawled towards Flamebirde's room. ~~~~~ As the chinese agent moved towards his target his senses picked up an eerie low sound. Stopping by his target's door, he tried to unlock it electronically. Sure enough it clicked, but it did not open. As he tried again and again, Flamebirde opened his door and froze with a shoe in hand. The agent moved his hand to his concealed silenced weapon but Flame reacted and shot his half polished shoe towards the gun. As it hit the agent, his hand jerked on the trigger. Flame rolled to the side, but no bullet went through. They both saw it floating in the air hanging like an insect caught in amber. They've been aussied. The agent recovered first, grabbed the shoe and the gun and ran across the hall, dumped his clothes in a closet and sneaked back into his room. He mumbled and shot dark glances at the mirror. No one likes to be thwarted by gadgets. But his lips crooked into a smile as he removed enough electronic equipment and data from the shoe to figure out who Flame was, then went to sleep. ~~~~~ The Swede had another vial from the Hooded Figure ready come nightfall and took extra care on spraying the contents to the doorknobs of his target. Sure enough, Thalia won't be joining tomorrow's talks. ~~~~~ TL;DR version * China tries to kill Flamebirde who is saved by Australia * Sweden traps Thalia ~~~~~ Host: araver 1. Thalia - quarantined by Sweden 2. bonanova 3. Molly Mae 4. Flamebirde 5. maurice 6. MikeD - Lynched D1 as United Kingdom 7. plasmid - Invaded N1 by China Day 2 ends Sunday Feb 26th at 9 PM UTC (About UTC). That means 4 PM EST and 11 PM for me.

If someone is targeted for a kill by both China and the U.S., will a save still keep that person alive? And if it doesn't (i.e. save only cancels out one kill), are we told that one kill failed and one kill succeeded? Save protects from all kills on target. Except for ODTG RID veto which happens instantly.

HOST: To clarify, even though plasmid was NKed, any night action he might have had would still go through assuming not otherwise blocked/trapped etc? Yes Can Germany self-target? Yes
  22. araver

    UN Mafia III

Privately. Blocker is told if action failed/suceeded per rules in OP. Blocked player is told only if block was succesful.
  23. araver

    UN Mafia III

    1. Are blocks (both unsuccessful and successful) shown at all? No. 2. Will Russia be told if the target didn't act or had a day action? Told "Target did not act" in case target did not act or had a day action and it was follow spied (see who target acted on). 3. Can Russia use their ODTG spy a dead player? Not a player that died before. Can spy a player the same phase he dies. 4. If Germany's save backfires, does that mean the save fails or Germany just loses a vote? Save still goes through. Backfire leads only to vote counting x0.
