  1. GEORGE WASHINGTON, Farewell Address, Sep. 17, 1796 However [political parties] may now and then answer popular ends, they are likely in the course of time and things, to become potent engines, by which cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled men will be enabled to subvert the power of the people and to usurp for themselves the reins of government, destroying afterwards the very engines which have lifted them to unjust dominion. GEORGE WASHINGTON, Farewell Address, Sep. 17, 1796 To contract new debts is not the way to pay old ones. GEORGE WASHINGTON, letter to James Welch, Apr. 7, 1799 There is nothing so likely to produce peace as to be well prepared to meet an enemy. We have to listen to this guy more! He got it right on parties, war, and paying debts (Obama, you listening?). Man, if we had the founding fathers right now...
  2. I like that idea, but I'm not 100% sure I understand. You place them in an order... and if youyr first isn't first on 51% of ballots, it moves on? Right?

http://www.bidstrup.com/sodomy.htm Proof. It's genetic. Case closed; give 'em the same rights as the rest of us.
  4. Awesome! I have to watch more TV and get more things to contribute... =)
  5. Oh, remove the senate or remove the parties. The house doesn't have that many problems.
  6. I just have to say: That is an awesome username 24_65_34_83_361. =)

Yep... Pretty sure I know what you're talking about. I think, though, that the good makes you more sad than the bad makes you happy. No?

Another news flash (Yep, I'm one of those people =)): A nurse discharged from the army because she was gay has been allowed to rejoin because the judge (the second one mind you) found DADT to be unconstitutional. Sanity 2, idiots zippo ('least until the tea party gets involved =) But I don't want to get too political) BTW, I noticed that somebody (Izzy I think?) mentioned being gay as a genetic trait. I dunno if you already said this, but a study found cases of homosexuality in other apes like baboons. Obviously genetic. Leviticus, btw, is bull. In fact, most scholars believe that nothing of the first five books is true (Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Deuteronomy, and Numbers, if I remember anything from catechism). So, there. I think we can stop referring to myths now, right? =) Seriously, the fact that we are discussing this shows us how prehistoric m0st of our world still is.

I'm late to the party in a major way; I have no idea where we are. I will just start off by saying: Repeal DADT, allow gays to marry, give homosexuals the same rights as normal people. It's ridiculous that it's stayed this way for so long, but the truth is: It was probably because of people like my confirmation teacher (who drove me out of Catholicism). Wacky people. Now, not ALL Catholics of course. Just, well, a bit. BTW, News update: The Rep. are not allowing the repeal, but I'm not surprised, because the Dems were stupid and connected it to another military thing... I dunno, but bottom line: Nothing is happening because of both sides. I take pride in being independent. =)
  10. 1. I'm not that old either, but I found it on Netflix, the same place you can find back to the future one. =) 2. Attack of the killer tomatoes. =) It's a spoof of old time horror movies. It's great!!!
  11. Nope. It's older than that.
  12. The nerd gets the girl. =) Also, tomatoes are evil, and will go to war with humanity if provoked. (Where is that from, hmmmmmm??????)
  13. 1. Medicare is fine for me 2. I MUST READ THAT BOOK. IT SEEMS AWESOME!
  14. Izzy: WIN!!!! =) Dawh: They held up society on their backs; it's our turn to help them.
  15. THE AWESOMEST SHOW EVA!!!!!!
  16. I don't know much about cost of living, but I have to agree with Dawh on this. It shouldn't be regulated a lot. Notice I say a lot. We have to make sure it's reasonable after all.
  17. Very true. I'm glad you found that graph. Gives us progressives some evidence =) And yes Izzy, good Luck.
  18. AMEN!! (Sorry about the double post, it wasn't working...)
  19. This is after reading the first page, but I think that what they're doing is horrible. I think any political party can only use money raised from public event type of things, which each donor limited to 5-10 percent of his wealth, or better yet, a set rate of $15,000. Something like that would limit it (again, this is only after reading the first page, so...) Oh, and each donor can only donate twice a year. A strict record must be kept.
  20. Before you are sacrificed, you will be treated to a fine dining experience. (Which movie?)

Pretty fun game... just got started today, and it's already hard. =( Level 3. =( I keep messing up. EDIT: Never mind. I got it. =)

And wait: I thought that by separate universes, each would have different laws of physics. Why are we talking about physical things? If it has the same laws of physics, isn't it the same universe?
