I'm sure you'll do just fine, Hirkala. I like the name. It reminds me of this guy I knew who drank a lot of scotch.

  2. Hey, PG!

Pregnancy (the pro-life/pro-choice debate) and smoking. Looking back over it, my guess is smoking. With reason. =P

Hold it in or keep it out -- The inhaling process (and those who don't)

Sometimes it's hard to commit -- Taxes and smoking bans make it hard to continue smoking

    So difficult to decide

Then just where to sit -- Probably a bit harder on the states to pick a side on the ban.

And when others simply won't -- Some people have given up smoking because of the recent B/S

I will still buy it -- But I won't, because I love smoking.

So best to stay on guard -- Watch out

For a match that is well fit -- Because I was made to be a smoker.

    =P

I doubt it's the answer, but I like it. The same could be further applied to the consumption of marijuana. Which I don't do. Anymore.

    ...

  3. Now I'm not sure which of my responses would better fit and which one is closer.

    The unknown?

    Holy of Holies -> God

    Black Hole -> space/star

Both answer evolutions hold most of the same qualities and justifications stated in their previous respective answers.

Playing off of your definition of garrish, I could say that people believed to be confronted by "God" are usually skeptical post facto. Further, many closed-minded fanatics are the same way about space exploration and the existence of life outside of earth.

Both answers are like the jigsaw pieces that "fit," but just don't look right.

  4. I second time. And I really like the answer chocolate. =p

I'll try to be unique, though, and throw out an off-the-wall answer. Styrofoam.

to some it's useful, to others, another thing to waste. --It's useful and "disposable."

it can become everything, but not a whole lot can become it. --Boats, roads, walls, cups, coolers, crafts, piping insulation, etc., can contain styrofoam.

it can be broke up, and yet still be usable. --Self-explanatory

some throw it away, and some cherish it. --I don't know who cherishes it...perhaps people with beer on the beach?

the rich and poor alike dream of it. --I'm sure Al Gore has nightmares about it.

it causes some to shout, and others it brings guilt --People protest it. Some people feel bad about the "damage" it can cause to the environment.

  5. Death

Some have fun with it, --Going out "with a bang."

Some dread the thought of it, --Many fear death.

Everyone will do it, --Everyone dies.

But no one gets through it..... --You typically can't die and live to tell the tale. =P

  6. A black hole.

Of course, your use of 'parrish' (parish?) instead of 'perish' has also caught my eye.

And I will step into the bounds of metaphor and say the Holy of Holies.

My resoning for both is thus:

I am unknown to the human mind, --Little is known of either

You can't imagine the wonders inside, --Lack of comprehension of the contents

If you approach me you surely will parrish, --Logic for the first, a word play for the second. Only the High Priest could enter the Holy of Holies; anyone else would die immediately. Further, the HoH moved about with the parish.

When you discover me you will just garrish..... --Not entirely sure on your intentions with the word 'garrish.' "Garish" is the closest word I could fit, although the context of the word would be incorrect. A google search for define:garish returns "tastelessly showy," which could describe (if it were an adjective...*cough*) the HoH, as it was a tent with elaborate decoration. I can't really make this line fit for the black hole.
