  1. No. Not it, slyde. Sorry. This is interesting. I just Wiki'd Rocky Marciano and he fits almost exactly. I couldn't fit him into the first two lines or the last line. This is a very clever observation, but not what I had in mind.
  2. No. Not so specific.
  3. You, sir (or ma'am), are on the wrong side of the fight.
  4. Hmm...that is an interesting concept. Not the answer I seek, though.
  5. No... Less fiction. More fact.
  6. Some good answers, but no. You've followed the right path, though. I don't really like hints, but...
  7. None so far, but nice Hawks reference, t_mo! =P The Chess_Vixen has hound dogged her way onto the right trail. And sorry, PG. No dogs allowed on this ship.
  8. Added this first verse. Also, changed the dominant pronoun from "I" to "he" because it bothered me. I'm thinking about writing yet another verse, as well. =P Enjoy. Of eight score men He's one of them. And further, one of six. While still alive 'Til forty-five He holds this known prefix. Where eagles soar He stays no more He rests among the stars. While once he swore, Not now, no more. His life is told in scars. When patch-eyed men Come 'round again Their lives are in his hand. He'll stand up strong, Release the throng-- What's blue he does command. EDIT: Changed Until to 'Til for good measure (pun intended).
  9. Wait...Uncle PG? Is that you? =P From a long lost friend I've pirated the lot So now for top marks, this you must spot
  10. We've gotten a little close, but not it yet. I've begun a new stanza. Look for it sometime today.
  11. None so far, but ocean was the right idea, although that might be a bit misleading. Thanks PG. And tmo, I enjoyed your explanation. It's not what I had in mind, though.
  12. Sorry, Thalia. I'll write another verse tomorrow with more of a fact base.
  13. Nothing spot-on yet. One of you is on the right track, though...
  14. Nope. I figured that answer would come up, though.
  15. I actually thought about that, but I couldn't make the last part fit. Thinking about it now, though, it really does--up to and including a play on the word "worn". I hope it's right, so PG can get out of my head. =P
  16. Where eagles soar I stay no more I rest among the stars. While once I swore, Not now, no more. My life is told in scars. When patch-eyed men Come 'round again Their lives are in my hand. I'll stand up strong, Release the throng-- What's blue I do command. After a few rough edits...
