    Z shares 2 with ADO

    Z shares 0 with QAT (so no A)

    Z shares 0 with WED (so no D)

    I don't think you should count ZOO as a 2, as there's only one O in ADO

    OOPS...it should share 1 with QAT...

    Yeah, I always used to bet my friends that if I gave them 2 letters in a 3 letter word of hangman, that they would still never get it...I always won (just because you can arbitrarily choose whatever they don't guess)...

    I seem to have misplaced my list of what you have guessed...but that was the bulk of it...I think you just had Z and U left? something like that...

    No, no, and no...however, I will say I originally thought of using ZAX...but decided to change it :c)

    I will also say that after creating this, I haven't actually gone through and checked how easy it would be to solve...so, really all I can say again is notice that there are not many 0s in that grid...

    Also, I'll let you know that words J, U, Y, and Z are not super common (along with the X and Q that has already been solved)...but the rest are pretty normal

    Correct...look it up on dictionary.com...it is a valid word (and a GREAT Scrabble word...really, I've used it many times in Scrabble)...that's 4...those were the "easy" ones (sort of)

    You know...there have been 5 and 6 letter versions of this by Prof. Templeton and Bonanova (which I have thoroughly enjoyed)...I figured I'd go with the 3-letter version...this one could be super easy or really tough...not sure...

    If you look at this grid, you should notice 2 things:

    1) There are two letters which have a lot of 0s...solving these should be pretty easy.

    2) Considering these are all 3 letter words, there are a lot of 2s and very few 0s (besides those two letters)...what does that tell you?

  9. I'm going to say that the J word is JINXED...simply because J and X have 4 letters in common...so far I have (but could definitely be wrong):

    A = ARTFUL

    E = EXPAND

    F = FLIXED

    J = JINXED

    X = XENIAL

    I just noticed that X has a lot in common with other words...so...decided I would try starting there

    i'm going on a short vacation for about 3-4 days, so just write down your thoughts, and i will tell who's right/wrong when i get back. (or before i leave).

  12. Alright, so I've spent too much time on this one so far...

    1) This cryptoquote contains all but 1 letter of the alphabet. The coded letter is "Q"...which, if this is an acurate cryptoquote means that this quote actually does contain a "Q"...

    2) Given this, there are really only A, P, S, X, or Z that could be the "Q" (which would make R, W, T, M, or B the "U" respectively).

    3) With regards to the subject matter...L/S with the quantum numbers could be the magnetic and spin numbers (since they are designated as ml and ms respectively...OR L = azimuthal quantum number...)..

    4) Given #3, the word "magnetic" can appear in this quote in a few places, but most probably only "OLCGMNST" or "GMNSTZBF" are it...

    5) "Angular" could also appear in this quote as "VYNFIVO"...but I don't see that going anywhere...

    6) Other words that don't seem to appear in this quote: azimuthal and physics

  13. My first riddle posted here, it's an easy one just to get started:

    It was a rainy day in the Highlands. Roy had been standing out in an open field all day, watching the clouds, but he was not wet. Not a drop on him. How can this be?

    1) He had an umbrella...

    2) He wasn't in a field in the Highlands...he was in some other field where it wasn't raining...

    3) He's a rainbow... (AH, kawnsentrait beat me to this one by a minute...grr...)
