  1. Take a common six-letter word and find at least a dozen 5-letter words by rearranging its letters.

A bonanova gold star to the first to find a Baker's dozen.

Your choice of six-letter words to start with. ;)

    Enjoy!

    6 letter word: SPEARS

    Rapes

    Spare

    Pears

    Parse

    Reaps

    Spear

    Pares

    Passe

    Apses

    Press

    Spars

    Rasps

    Sears

  2. Rules:

    1. Guess the movie that the tagline belongs to

    2. Please, please, please place answers in spoilers.

    1. When you can live forever what do you live for?

    2. If You Ain't Outta Control, You Ain't In Control.

    3. This Time It's Not Just A Walk In The Park!

    4. Life isn't measured in minutes, but in moments.

    5. Evolution Begins.

    6. In a future where freedom is outlawed outlaws will become heroes.

    7. Do not step away from the vehicle.

    8. Their war. Our world.

    9. Get in. Get out. Get even.

    10. Many saw evil. They dared to stop it.

    1: Twilight

2: Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift

    3: Jurassic Park III

4: Curious Case of Benjamin Button

    5: X-Men

    6: Equilibrium

    7: Transporter 3

    8: Transformers

    9: Italian Job

    10: Valkyrie

  3. Perhaps a wild shot in the dark but
    Julius Ceaser ?

One nice thing about wild shots in the dark, is sometimes you end up hitting something....

You missed this time, but that shouldn't stop you :D

  4. The movie is correct, but missing the tagline. :)

Tagline for Sound of Music: "The Happiest Sound In All The World!"

    #1: Annie

Original tagline: "The movie of 'Tomorrow'"

And I definitely used the hint...without that, I may have only gotten 1 or 2...but that definitely helped

  5. I thought I would try this and see if you all like it.

Here are 5 (riddled) movie taglines, can you figure out the movie - and bonus points if you can figure out the real tagline.

    1. The story of the future.

    2. Yelling from the cap.

    3. Very slick diction.

    4. Under no circumstances should you nourish trees.

    5. The most joyous noise the earth has ever heard.

I am not sure how hard these will be (they may be really simple - I'm not sure), but if you need some help getting started here is a hint.

They all are musicals that went from stage to screen.

    Little Shop of Horrors...

Original tagline: "Don't feed the plants"

    Grease...

Original tagline: "Grease is the word"

    Fiddler on the Roof...

Original tagline: "Shout It From The Rooftops!"

  6. Benjamin Franklin? He's the one non president on currency and considered a brillant mind due to his theories on electricity and his inventions.

    Nope, not him...

I'm sort of excited...this MAY be my first post to become a "Hot Topic"! we'll see...Maybe I'll give a clue in a little bit...

  7. Chuck Norris

    :P
    god

    No and No...good guesses though

    could it be...
    Paul Bunyan?

It is not Paul Bunyan...it is a real historical figure (could be living, could be dead...)

    Big Bad John

Nope, it is a real person...not just a song. Good guess though

Joseph Smith, Jr.? Last name was Smith (named for an Ironworker) and he "worked metal" with the whole golden plates thing. Not too sure about people hiding from him though. And the "in the palms of hands" line could refer to the Book of Mormon constantly being distributed?

Hmm...I like the thought process, but alas, it is incorrect. But hey, to add to your thoughts, a lot of people "hide" from Jehovah's witnesses when they come around door to door (not saying I am one of them...just commenting that I know a lot of people do)...but the answer is still incorrect B))

  8. Woe betide the bowman’s fate,

A lesson learned, the task to state.

From pole to pole a story told,

A mournful trek through mist and cold

Of one cross born among the dead,

For hope it served, from ice it led

Until his point had made its mark

And spirits pined for vengeance dark.

    Now, Purgatory may exist

Above our hell . . . this hall is his.

And casting pall on night of cheer,

One is given the lessoned fear.

for some reason, the first thing that came to mind was the story of Orpheus and Eurydice...But I'm guessing that is incorrect...just getting the ball rolling

  9. This is my first post. Hope you enjoy!

There was a cowboy who rode out to a town on Friday and stayed for three nights. He rode back on Friday. How did he do it?

This one has already been posted before: here

Just use the Search before posting a riddle...searching for "Friday +cowboy" found this post.

    Welcome to the Den!!

    His horse's name is Friday

  10. This one may be a bit easier...enjoy

    I'm sure you've heard

    No one's greater than me

I'm the best there has been

    In the whole of history

    Ironworker by name

    and work it I did.

I used it for my glory

    and from me, many hid.

    I see millions of commuters

    to and from many lands.

    My face can be seen

    in million's of hands.

    No one knows

    where I am right now

    Solve this riddle

and to you I will bow...

  11. Well, that's certainly a huge shove in the right direction.

    Not the answer though.

Yeah, my first thought is something with hockey...I was thinking a canadian player that scored 40 goals in one season, so I started thinking Mario Lemieux...but I'm a bit rusty on my hockey facts...

  12. WAI NO. 15

    He’s your typical kid,

    The gullible type

    So innocent and passive’

    Not much hype!

    He’s a bit sketchy,

    On the T.V. screen,

In songs and books and movies

    But he’s boring for a teen…

    Who am I?

I'm just going to be nit-picky here...the answer to your question is "CuteSparklezGirl" since the riddle was written in 3rd person and you asked the question in first person...so "Who am I" is you...but as to the answer to the question "Who is HE?"...not sure yet

    :D
  13. Sliced Bread

DING DING DING!!! We have a winner! Wow, with all the guesses around music, I was really beginning to "Wonder" if anyone would get this one!! NICELY DONE!!! I declare this riddle solved!

    I'm the epitomy of greatness,

Nothing else can compare. -"The greatest thing since sliced bread"

I'm a wonder to behold, -"Wonder" was the first brand to market sliced bread nation-wide

often seen in a pair. -Often used in sandwiches (2 slices)

I was born in Missouri -First use of a sliced bread making machine was in Chilicothe, Missouri

But I've since travelled far, -Obviously worldwide

I've gone by boat and plane

and truck, train, and car. -Again, obviously shipped around the world by all means

    I was shunned from society

when I was just a teen -1943 ban on sliced bread (only 13 years after it was first marketed)...look it up if you're interested

    I'm older and experienced now

As I'm sure you have seen -Sliced bread has come a long way and in many different styles (about 80 years old)

I'm the creator of music -sliced bread records (www.slicedbread.com)

I'm a designer and artist. -sliced bread agency (www.slicedbreadco.com)

    But these you most likely

Were sure to have missed. -You have probably never heard of these two companies...

Many are my parts -Many slices per loaf

But from one I have come -But all slices come from one loaf

Answer Who or what am I?

    And this riddle is done.

  14. Just trying to see if i'm on the right track...

An instrument of some sort... drums, maybe?

    Nope

Two scoops of ice cream in a cone! It is the greatest IMHO.

Amazingly (while not actually "close"), you have had the best guess so far :c)

  15. invinciblity?

    world domination?

    immortalness?

    No, No, No...

I know this is wrong but it might point to the right direction??

I'm thinking love or lust for some reason. It doesn't fit the second stanza, but it fits with most of the rest.

    No, No...

Hmm...maybe a small hint is in order...hopefully I didn't make this one too hard :c)

    It's actually a tangible object...not a concept/emotion/thought/ideal/etc...

  16. Boxing gloves?

    Nope, sorry...

if these are wrong ccan we have a hint

    rythme?

    lyrics?

    elvis presly?

    No, No, No...

With regards to the hint...hm....It's still pretty early for a hint...

but no one has been close to it yet...

  17. Budwiser

Nope...I am a self-proclaimed "beer-snob"...so if I were to write a riddle about beer, it definitely wouldn't be Budwiser (no offense to Bud-drinkers out there...)

    a wave

    Nope, sorry...
