0 Guest
...and I thought of: cool And from checking the dictionary... I think "hot" could work as well. I've never used it as a verb, but apparently some British people do.
0 Guest
Wow and cool: Not bad guesses, but I wouldn't say they were adverbs... Keep trying!
0 Guest
I suppose you could use "hot" as a verb, as in "hot things up" but it's a colloquialism and not really grammatically correct (same as using "cool" as an adverb). You don't need to resort to that!

You don't need to resort to that! I agree with you on hot, I've never said "hot things up." Cool is an adverb though. Example from http://www.m-w.com/dictionary/cool is "play it cool." But now I'm trying to think of another answer.

I must admit I'm on thin ice with that one, though you might say it was a colloquial version of "coolly". Not a bad answer, but there is a better one! 0 Guest
fine A fine answer, to be sure. Oh very good! Arguably the adverb condition is the toughest one to meet but I'd say you did it there. However, it is not the answer I had in mind!

(verb) Holy f***! (exclamation) LOL, no that isn't it! (still a bit dodgy on the adverb) OK, for anyone still interested, here's the answer: WELL! Noun: I dug a well Verb: Tears well up in my eyes Adjective: I am fit and well Adverb: You did well Exclamation: Well!
