Fastening device not meant for fastening.

Can mean center and mipoint of anything.

Of war’ and cruise’ and of this same kind,

Have the sea and ocean in mind.

Of the three words the first two are synonyms and the last two are homophones.

This works with lines 1, 4 and 5, and the third word is unrelated. First two are okay, I think.

I think he means 'midpoint' but im not sure...

I'm stumped! I have to go to bed now though (got to get up early for cross-country :dry:) but I will sleep on it! :)

Fly, ship, ship! eleven letters! I just can't figure the midpoint/center thing.. everything else fits, tho..

Fly, ship, ship! eleven letters! I just can't figure the midpoint/center thing.. everything else fits, tho..

Fly is a good answer but now we know the first word has eleven letters! I'm still working on that.. ship & ship are not homonyms. CORE & CORPS must be correct, hats off to previous supplier of that info. Sooo -----------, CORE, CORPS.
