0 Guest Posted April 29, 2009 Report Share Posted April 29, 2009 The sky 'cuz The greatest always have statues erected in their names and they are at the bottom (foot) of the sky. Putting a mark on the greatest could be rain falling from the sky and the rain falls freely but is no great feat either ok i'll just stop here i'm prolly super wrong anyway man i love your riddles XD Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

0 Guest Posted April 29, 2009 Report Share Posted April 29, 2009 Hollywood walk of stars, you can walk on them, but its not really a great feat It's a nice try but no, for the first part it is a cool solution but the second part of the riddle throws if off Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
0 Guest Posted April 29, 2009 Report Share Posted April 29, 2009 Time. It puts its mark on even the greatest, and is feared by many (growing old and all that...) and is therefore not considered to be one of the greatest things we have... It puts its mark on even the greatest, and is feared by many (growing old and all that...) and is therefore not considered to be one of the greatest things we have... I like your guess, but no. The thing I am looking for fears, not "is feared", see wording in the last part of the riddle. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

0 Guest Posted April 29, 2009 Report Share Posted April 29, 2009 weeds? no. try to test your answer against every riddle line and word. when you guess right, the choice of all words will be obvious. some very cool guesses so far though Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
0 Guest Posted April 29, 2009 Report Share Posted April 29, 2009 Needless to say for those who've done my riddles before but once again for the Newbies, look for simple rather then abstract explanations but that must fit all parts of the riddle. The choice of words is always deliberate, no word is there just for the rhyme but describes in some way what we are looking for. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

0 Guest Posted April 29, 2009 Report Share Posted April 29, 2009 (edited) Ok so this is my first one ever, i usually just read these for fun but i think i actually got this one. It is a bird of some sort. Its feet are always above great people, flying, and it leaves its mark on great people freely, pooping on them, but it considers it no great feat. A bird can never fully rest it is always jumpy and scared of people. Also bird will never be considered the best or the brightest. To be mroe specific i would go with a pidgeon.. Is that right? Well done with this one. It makes me think of a crappy hall of fame, the greatest under my feet, but fear that society never recognizes it. I saw the National Wiffleball Hall of Fame. Thank you palmerc7 re your guess - see what you're thinking but no would not really have them under the feet or leave a "mark on them", and clear on not best but why would we not consider it "the brightest"? Those who are greatest of our time
I placed beneath my feet
I've left my mark upon them freely
Yet thought it no great feat
Still I hold fear, in me ingrained, that allows no rest;
