Another Sporting Riddle?

Rah! Rah! Super Bowl!

It’s the prize of young and old.

Raise a toast to the host,

A mournful sip to make the most!

Angle, Angle everyday!

The injured reserve cannot play.

And a royal pain awaits the day

A simply question one to say.

Vroom, vroom round the rim

Race to the plate, forget the sin.

The Indiana well-fought win,

Raise the trophy, start again!

I'm not sure what exactly I should be answering but I think it has something to do with Pittsburgh. The Steelers just won the super bowl and Angle, refering to Kurt angle, he is from Pitt. But that's all I know. Hopefully this helps.

Hi Luna. Object of the riddle . . .

What's the prize?

What's the object of the question?

What's the win, the trophy?

All the same answer.

Cheers.

The Holy Grail fits the first four lines and the last two, at least. I'm not sure about the rest of it, though.

Good call Grayven!

Holy grail:

Super "magical" bowl / dish / cup.

Mournful toast: last supper

Angle, angle everyday:

Fisher King is wounded and can only fish in a river every day, awaiting the one to ask him about the holy grail (Percival was too naieve, Galahad eventually)

Race to the plate (chalice), around the globe, Indiana Jones quest for the grail which will return youth and lend immortality.

Well done.
