No. 14 - Back to the Cryptograms and Algebra Puzzles
Replace the same characters by the same numerals so that the mathematical operations are correct.
ABCD*D = DCBA

how would you solve this problem? I tried treating all the letters as individual numbers below 10 and so, i would get
(1000A + 100B +10C + D)* 9 = 1000D + 100C + 10B + A
Please help. I need the answer and method for school.

I have
A=1, B=0, C=8, D=9
1089 x 9 = 9801
