Riddle of honor

Here’s a totem a tale to tell

of worlds at war where hammers fell.

There’s a tower of windows six,

shades when drawn determined picks.

Face to face at the end of plot

Received a kiss, were missed when shot.

Two sentries stalwart held their ground

Guarding bridges spanning round.

It is the second verse that I'm having trouble fulfilling.

Especially with the bridges.

Although these are wrong, I want to guess them too.

A duel or a joust

Neither (note: my titles almost never have anything to do with the answer).

Some clarification, in the second verse, second line.

It is supposed to be where or we're?

"Where"

The riddle asks the identity of the two "guards"

For some strange reason, my first thought was

An arcade? Or an amusement park?

Actually, that's a lie. My first thought was a casino game or something, but that's obviously not it...

Well, this is the best I could come up with, but I doubt it's right.

The Tower Bridge in London

The Tower Bridge in London

No, but good guess. My style uses a lot of metaphor ( would not call it a tower in the riddle if it were actually a tower), word play, and double entendres.

@shakee Not really feeling up to guessing more right now, but I will soon. Very clever riddle!

This is a tough one. Very vague

Texas Hold Em or Dominos

So we're supposed to guess what the 'two guards' are?

Yes, what the two guards are. No, not those guesses, although good ones.

I cannot get the spoiler to work. Can someone post the code so I can guess?

Try the following, but replace the curly brackets with square brackets

{spoiler='visible spoiler header text'}hidden spoiler text{/spoiler}
