A hot air balloon? (which are usually very colorful)

Primary atoms being helium or hydrogen (maybe "opposites attract" refer to interaction of the electrons/protons, etc)

Probsbly just a regular balloon

They come in all colors (spectrum)

They are tear-shaped(appeared to be a tear)

Excluding water balloons, they contain air - if opened or popped, you get a flow of air

If you rub one against fabric, you create an electromagnetic field; place it against a wall or other surface, it will stick to it (opposites attract)

Primary atoms (what's blow up a balloon, CO2?) go thru balloon to inflate it, & spread thru air when it's broken.
