The tree of knowledge is the tree in the middle of the Garden of Eden. Not sure what the Yggdrassil in Norse is.

Salmon swim upriver to spawn. In Celtic, Irish, and Welsh mythology, and even in an Arthurian tale, the salmon was considered a creature of wisdom. Salmon swim back to their birthplace to spawn Fishbones resemble a comb. Salmon benefit in various ways from living in pools of water created by Beavers. Oh yeah that's right! I should know this stuff lol. Yggdrassil connected all the realms in Norse Mythology. Some were on branches, Asgard on top, and Niflheim and I think another one in the roots. Often called the "World Tree." Edited July 20, 2010 by NickFleming
