Question

In the kitchen there’s the baker, with the bread and cake,

The cookies and the scones, and all the things he has to bake.

He cooks each and every one until they’re golden-brown,

He puts them out to cool, and then takes them to the town.

Then there’s the gardener, out in the scorching sun,

Working in the garden until the day is done.

He hoes, he waters, and he pulls weeds,

He rakes, he digs, and what he thinks the garden needs.

And high up in the tower, there is the beautiful princess,

Talking to the servant who’s working on her dress.

She says “you better listen up, because I’m the daughter of the queen.

Everyone knows that one day I’ll reign supreme.”

Of course there’s the coach driver, taking the king everywhere,

Spending most of his time guiding the stallions and the mares.

He uses everything that the horses have been taught,

Sometimes to travel near, but more often not.

Then there is the seamstress, with her needle and her thread,

Working to ensure the perfect shade of red.

She always has to make just the perfect stitch,

Otherwise the princess just might throw a fit.

Let’s not forget the leaders, the reason for this thing,

For we all hail the power of our great queen and king.

They rule us and we praise them, here that’s how it works,

Even though inside different thoughts may lurk.

And then we have the butler, with the jam and bread,

And everything else he needs to keep the kingdom fed.

He makes the beds, holds open doors,

And at meals, your drink he pours.

Now alone, they’re nice all right,

But together they are the kingdom’s might.

Take one out, they’re not as good,

Because together strong kingdoms stood.

England??

Hey GREAT riddle here, just not sure what your looking for hun..

The name of the Kingdom ?? Who lives there ??

Why are the apostrophes missing on the main page? was that intended? Or are there supposed to be an "I" in the gaps? Is that it? They are missing an I (or eye)? ;) Hmmm...

Sorry, not England. Thank you! Each stanza(exept the last one)is describing a word, and then the last stanza is describing what to do with them. hope that helps.

for those looking for an explanation:

In the kitchen there’s the baker, with the bread and cake,

The cookies and the scones, and all the things he has to bake.

He cooks each and every one until they’re golden-brown,

He puts them out to cool, and then takes them to the town.

baker makes dough=do

Then there’s the gardener, out in the scorching sun,

Working in the garden until the day is done.

He hoes, he waters, and he pulls weeds,

He rakes, he digs, and what he thinks the garden needs.

out in the suns rays=re

And high up in the tower, there is the beautiful princess,

Talking to the servant who’s working on her dress.

She says “you better listen up, because I’m the daughter of the queen.

Everyone knows that one day I’ll reign supreme.”

all the princess can think about is herself=me

Of course there’s the coach driver, taking the king everywhere,

Spending most of his time guiding the stallions and the mares.

He uses everything that the horses have been taught,

Sometimes to travel near, but more often not.

the driver travels far=fa

Then there is the seamstress, with her needle and her thread,

Working to ensure the perfect shade of red.

She always has to make just the perfect stitch,

Otherwise the princess just might throw a fit.

the seamstress sews=so

Let’s not forget the leaders, the reason for this thing,

For we all hail the power of our great queen and king.

They rule us and we praise them, here that’s how it works,

Even though inside different thoughts may lurk.

they make the laws=la

And then we have the butler, with the jam and bread,

And everything else he needs to keep the kingdom fed.

He makes the beds, holds open doors,

And at meals, your drink he pours.

he pours the tea=ti

Now alone, they’re nice all right,

But together they are the kingdom’s might.

Take one out, they’re not as good,

Because together strong kingdoms stood.

this last stanza is still up for grabs. Any takers?(I could just tell you, but what's the fun in that?)

Notes on the scale

OK. ;) I'll start with the obvious

Do (dough) Re (ray), Mi (me), Fa (far), So (sew), La (?), Ti (tea)?

EDIT: awww... i got here wayyy late. just the end is left.

Yah, you guys did get here late, but that doesn't mean you still can't guess the end! And workinghard-welcome!
