Okay... apologies in advance for this answer.

Nudity?

Bear is a homophone of bare. "Give it to me now" could refer to clothes. Third line self explanatory. Fourth line: nudity can cause screams of a family, or laughter from others.

I have no idea what the significance of "Placed" is

I've been thinking about this riddle for a while, and (unless my guess is correct) this one confounds me...

are anagrams involved?

Presence/Presents

As in "Hello there, how do you do?" being the presence of somebody and "Give it to me now, before I shoo you!" demanding a present? And presence of a family/maiden.

Pretty sure this is wrong. But I can't think of *anything* else...

Gah. I'm stuck. Brain dead. Can not think of anything. Only other idea popping into my head is

hey/hay

Kind of fits with first line and second line could be like a shephard guarding a haystack?!

Other than that, I've got nothing.

No more clues?

OH!! Yippee! Horray!!! I am very happy too! Great riddle EDM!! Lots of fun trying to figure this one out.

As for the title, I've got nothing, really. That's the one part I couldn't really make fit....

It is joyful to be pretty and FAIR, and also to be at a FAIR, but sorrowful if someone is not FARING well. And I guess paying a FARE could be sorrowful too...

I really don't know....
