I called this type "Quickie Last Puzzle but these are really different than the other POW's posted here so I will now call them "Cryptic Clues".

1. Helen's husband is normal at first. (5)
2. 70's ballad band was stylish in the past. (7)
3. Never ending TV show casts Eric, originally, in the king's place. (10)
4. Certain transit lines aren't removed from crime boss's underground location. (6)
5. Catch the train to Kyoto from another Japanese city. (5)
6. Blood test marks the end of one D.C. batters return to European or Asian city. (7)
7. Washington's former enemy is some backward dairy worker without any energy. (6)
8. A slow operating system is one of Buffy's demons. (5)
9. The wicked cry, yet I know where Columbia is. (11)
10. The 9-11 ringleader has a network in a busy airport. (7)
11. Bobcats returned to face cynic and hit him violently in Saigon today. (13)

The number in parentheses represents how many letters are in the answer.
Some of the answers are in two (or more) words but I did not break this down in the number because I thought it would be too easy. There is a theme that when discovered should make the solving go easier.
