as I already mentioned here ... I wanted to upgrade this forum to better version (from phpbb3 beta 5 to phpbb3 rc 7) ... I have tried many things but nothing worked ... and along the way, I have not shut down the forum and my experiments messed it up a little bit ... fortunately, my hosting provider was able to restore the database to the state from 25/10/2007
so there is still one question open - how to upgrade from phpbb3 beta 5 to phpbb3 rc 7
