hi, some of you may have noticed that my forum was unavailable for a while
there were some technical issues I had to face ... fortunately, I could restore the database
however, there is still one challenge ahead of me - how to upgrade this forum (phpbb3 beta 5) to the newest version (phpbb3 rc 7) ... I will have to crack that nut somehow
is there anybody who knows a safe way to do it?

try this:
[url:c3af5]http://www.phpbb.com...+update-phpbb2/[/url]
seems good ... however, there is just phpbb3 rc7 (and not phpbb3 stable version), so there are no update packages for all lower versions ... and I saw somewhere that there won't be any support for my version (phpbb3 beta 5) ... let's see when phpbb3 stable version comes out

I'd wait for the final version if you can.
