A woodchuck, or groundhog, is a cousin to the beaver and can if it decided to take a chunk out of a tree, like a beaver would, it would theroreticaly be able to fit 8 oz. of wood in it's mouth. So If a woodchuck could chuck wood he would chuck 8 oz. per bite.

That would be the point of the riddle.
It would be to obvious to say "what gets hotter as it cools the air?"

this is badly worded because it implys that the same object that's getting colder is also getting hotter at the same time, which I believe is impossible, no?
Having just spent half a day fixing my air conditioner I can attest that tha A/C itself does get hotter as it gets colder. The front of the A/C is nice and chilly now but the condensor area of the A/C is very hot. Before I turned it on both areas were the same temp. This could work with the refridgerator also: inside gets colder back of fridge gets hotter.
