An amature Archeologist in England comes across a coin. Excitedly he cleans it up and manages to read that it is a Shilling from the reign of Queen Elizabeth the first. He know this because it has a picture of queen Elizabeth the First and a date of 1595 It even has Queen Elizabeth the first printed on the rim of the coin.

He looks the details up on the internet and discovers that there were shillings in circulation at this time and the date was well within the reign of that Monarch.

He takes his coin to the British Museum and offers to sell it to them as a piece of Heritage. The Curator takes one look at the coin and declares it a forgery. How is he so sure?

The coin would simply have said Queen Elizabeth. Not until 1952 was she known as Queen Elizabeth I when Queen Elizabeth II ascended to the throne. Well Done comperr

If she was the first queen Elizebeth the coin wouldn't say "the first".
