0 Brandonb
The man (assuming Jim is a man) is standing, so he is alive but not moving. The horse is irrelevant, it's dead therefore not moving. If Jim is standing next to the cheetah, then the cheetah cannot be moving either (unless maybe it's pacing back a forth) So I'll guess that no one is moving. If I label your lines 1-5, you are 60% correct. Think of where these three are located.

Why DCoM, I think i gave A correct answer to the question in OP, are you adding something to the riddle, if you are valuing the lines at 1/5 each; one of them being yours, then your calcualtions are wrong, is one of my lines wrong or one of yours, actually they are all yours save the first (ZERO), also allowed for the spelling mistake - par for me To play along they are.........Zoo, savanah, the earth, private philanthropists garden etc etc etc etc Close enough for me - passes most exams
0 Guest
Sorry, my mistake. You did use one of my lines. That would make you 75% right... But that's semantics. Let me clarify what I'm looking for, this may help. Which of the three is moving the fastest (Jim, horse, or cheetah) and at what speed is the fastest one moving? And I assure you, there are two actual and finite answers for the speed of the fastest.

Gonna get a degree or disagree on this topic Philosphical or mathmatical or physics - semantecs is an english lit problem that lawyers play with and we pay for. The tallest because of the rotation of earth Various but going for decompostion = horse Eaten = horse last to move = cheetahCheetah = can't knock spots off a cheetah Once a cheetah saw his spots. Lots and lots and lots and lots. My oh me oh me oh my! Who did this to me and why?

0 Guest
LiS you are so close to what I wanted in your first spoiler. This is one of those questions where overthought may not work as well as you may think (i.e. height of Jim)
0 Guest
The puzzle doesn't state what Jim is, he could be anything that stands which includes most animals.
0 Guest
The puzzle doesn't state what Jim is, he could be anything that stands which includes most animals. Jim is human. A human being. A male human being.

0 Guest
I think... ..., just like what the boys said, the rotational speed (Angular Velocity) is the same for the 3 of them which is the Earth angular velocity. but the linear speed would be: linear speed = angular velocity of earth * [the radius of earth + (the height of the object "Jim, Horse or Cheetah") which is so small in compare with radius] so if Jim is standing then he is the fastest and cheetah next as it's standing too. while horse speed is the slowest as he is lying dead that's it Edited April 13, 2008 by Lover
0 Guest
well i would assume that the one who is moving the fastest is of course Jim and the speed at which he is moving would be the rate of his heart beat which is i think 70 beats per minute and since he killed the horse and possibly the cheetah it would be racing even more than that... is that right?? Very liitle wording - ir would be a shame to pull it apart, but we end up with more than one correct answer if it is flawed. I think mr man will be incorrest on the heart beat if the cheetah is alive on two points - the cheetah ready to chase the man redy to give flight - both will have increased heart rates, the cheetah's will be faster, unless the cheeah is resting and jim is scared out of his wits . Who killed the horse? is it a horse or Zebra? both are equine! I came I saw igoogled i-zebra
0 Guest
[spoiler='maybe... ']all three are moving at the speed of earth's rotation Jim fastest cause he is tallest then the cheeta then the horse great deduction and exactly what i was looking for. also acceptable speed would have been the earth's revolutionary speed (speed traveling around the sun)
