I didn't find this puzzel with surch.i hope that won't be locked.

One sultan use to hate very much one of his courtier and decided to kill him.Just because he didn't want to destroy his reputation of fair ruler,he coudn't execute him directly.That's why he gathered all the court and said,that he'll give chance to the courtier to live,if he has luck.After that he took one urn and put inside two papers.On the one should be written"he'll live" on the other"he'll die".The sultan ordered to the jester to pick one paper and depending on what is written the man should die or live.The jester was friend with the courtier,also he knew well the sultan and he was sured,that on both papers was written "he'll die".

The question is how the jester helped his friend?

The jester picks one paper, and eat it. So, as the sultan would like to seen as a fair ruler, he will order to check the second paper .... which is "he'll die" .... they will then say the first paper the jester picked must be "he'll live" -- set him free ...
